Attention MMA fans: England-based MMA promotion Ultimate Cage Fighting Championships has joined forced with Wheeled Warriors to stage a series of wheelchair MMA fights, which will feature amputees and fighters in wheelchairs.
“The Wheeled Warriors group and the Ultimate Cage Fighting Championships have joined forces to put on a series of bouts with fighters in wheelchairs and also amputees under MMA rules,”says a Fighters Only report. “It will take place later this year in South Yorkshire.(UK)”
The fighters will use special made wheelchairs for the event and I’m sure this will be pretty entertaining. Although it would quite a sight to see these guys be able to hop out of their chairs and begin duking it out on the ground. Right? Right? Disabled sweaty guys rolling around on the ground beating each other to a pulp. Anyone? Anyone?
